Lib Dems choose Cllr. Major Wayne Morgan MBE for Bridgend Constituency

Bridgend LibDems have chosen Cllr. Major Wayne Morgan MBE
as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election

Wayne was born in Cilfynydd and joined the Army as a boy soldier where through his significant contribution he rose to the rank of Major. Since retiring from the Army he and his wife Marilyn have settled in Broadlands Bridgend. Wayne was elected to represent Broadlands on Bridgend Borough Council in 2008 where he works tirelessly for the community.

Commenting on his selection, Mike Clarke, Chair of Bridgend Lib Dems paid tribute to Wayne’s hard work for local charities and the Borough Council on which he serves and said; “We are delighted that Wayne has been selected He has served his country well and is now serving local people”.

“I am delighted to have this opportunity”, said Wayne, “and will work very hard over the coming months talking with people all across Bridgend and listening to their needs. I am really worried about some of the extreme proposals coming from other parties on how to solve the major financial crisis the Country is in. Only the Lib Dems are offering thought through and measured proposals that protect local people”
