Eric Hughes is married with two grown up sons and four grandchildren. He has been retired for the last two years after running a successful newsagents in Bryntirion for the last twenty years. Eric has supported the local community by sponsoring the local under 12's football team, donating money towards the building of a running track in Newbridge Fields and donating monay to Sandville Rest Centre.

Eric is a keen runner and has represented Wales as a veteran athlete. He now wants to put his energies into supporting his local community.
