I have lived in Bridgend since 1979. I moved from London with my husband and two children to continue my job with Rockwool when they opened a factory at Wern Tarw. I worked for Rockwool for 22 years.
Despite a busy and active working life I involved myself with the local Scout Group and Air Cadets helping them to raise funds. Since retirement, I have helped manage the Community Centre at Bryntirion. Eight years slots online ago I was elected to sit on Laleston Community Council. I am standing as a Borough Councillor for Bryncethin and I am looking forward to the challenge.
TOGETHER we can improve OUR community. This is a local election, it’s about Bryncethin - not Westminster, not Cardiff Bay. I don’t agree with all the decisions they make and I know you don’t either.
You may accuse me of being naive but I think PEOPLE make local communities, not politicians. If you vote for me I will work hard for you.
