In principle, the Liberal Democrats
are in favour of the production of energy from renewable sources,
such as wind. However, we believe that the siting of such large scale
projects should be thoroughly discussed and examined before decisions
that could affect jobs and livelihoods are made.
There is a powerful case to be made
for a sustainable Wales, but there is an equally powerful case for
a sustainable Porthcawl. Local Liberal Democrat representatives have
a duty to foster and maintain the interests of the citizens of Porthcawl.
They must also continue to make the case for the regeneration of a
small town with considerable unrealised potential. The following pages
are presented in the spirit of constructive dialogue, and we welcome
contributions from informed sources who can help us achieve a fuller
understanding of the issues
